Andrew M. “Andy” Conte, 48, of Altoona, died Tuesday at his residence after a brief battle with cancer. He was born in Altoona, the son of Richard P. Sr. and Sharon M. (Rourke) Conte.

Andy was a warehouseman at PepsiCo, Altoona, with 10 years of service. He previously worked at U.S. Food Service for 18 years.

He was a 1991 graduate of Altoona Area High School. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and being the life of the party.

Andy is survived by his daughter, Adeline “Addy” Daisey Conte. She was his whole life. Also surviving are his significant other, Christina Schleich; parents, Richard and Sharon Conte; a brother and sister, Richard P. Conte Jr. and Angela M. Conte; a special nephew, Creed Conte; two special nieces, Nevaeh Conte and Mirah Conte, all of Altoona; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by the deceased members of the Rourke and Conte families.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 17, 2021, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Altoona, with Father Frank, celebrant.

At Andy’s request, there will be no visitation.
