Ann M. DeStephen

Ann M. DeStephen, 69, of Altoona, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2025, at UPMC Altoona, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born November 23, 1955, in Port Chester, NY, daughter of the late John N. and Lorraine (Hojfeldt) Mitchell. Surviving are her two daughters, Jennifer Weiss (Thomas Jr.) and Kelly A. Burk (Devin); 5 grandchildren, Freya Burk, Thomas III, Noah, Nicholas, and Grace Weiss; brother, Michael Mitchell; and sister, Susan Caserta. Ann worked as a sales associate for Boscov’s of Altoona. She enjoyed spending time with family, especially her five grandchildren whom she loved and adored. She was very giving and loved to decorate her home. Ann’s favorite place was at the beach, where she enjoyed collecting seashells. She was a member of the Catholic faith. At Ann’s prior request, there will be no services.
