Mrs. Betty J. Heininger 89 of Altoona, Pa died Tuesday morning, October 6, 2015 at Epworth Manor Nursing Home, Tyone after an extended illness.

Mrs. Heininger was born in Oil City, Pa on September 26, 1926, daughter of the late philias and Velma (Stevenson) Dugrenier. She married Bernard Heininger August 28, 1948 at St. Leo's Catholic Church, Altoona. He died May 13, 1999.

She retired as a secretary in the Housekeeping Department at Altoona Hospital Altoona, Pa 16601.

Betty was a 1944 graduate of Oil City High School. She enjoyed collecting Bettey Boop dolls and memorabilia.

She is survived by 4 children Bernard G. Heininger Jr., of Copley, OH; Cynthia A., of Tenn; William Heininger, of Altoona, Pa. ; and 3 great grand children. Betty was preceded in death by 2 bothers John Dugrenier and Phillias Dugrenier.

A Funeral Service will be celebrated at Jones Funeral Home, Altoona, Pa at 10:00 AM on Friday, October 9, 2015, with Msgr. Robert C. Mazur officiating.

Interment at Calvary Cemetery Altoona, Pa.

Friends will be received from 6 - 8 PM Thursday, October 8, 2015 in the Jones Funeral Home.
