David C. Blake Sr., 86, of Altoona, passed away Tuesday March 31, 2026, at The Winds at Mattern Orchard, Duncansville. He was born on September 14, 1939, in Altoona, son of the late Collins R. and Dorothy (Hilty) Blake. David was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth A. (Gentry) and by two aunts, Audrey and Margaret Blake. Surviving are his two sons, David Jr. wife Lori and Geoffrey and wife Letricia Blake. Also surviving are two stepsisters, Marjorie Crawford and Nancy Grannis. David was a 1957 graduate of Altoona High School. He worked as a service manager over the years with B.F. Goodrich, Mountain Tire, and H&H Tire. He was a lifetime member of the Bavarian Aid Society and was a former president of the Altoona Jaycees. Dave enjoyed old cars, fishing, photography, and was an avid baseball and basketball player. He coached area youth and teener baseball teams.
