David W. Mallery, age 61, of Altoona, died Tuesday morning at his home.  He was born in Altoona, a son of Elwood and Maebelle (Saltsgiver) Mallery.  Surviving are his parents, his wife, Melanie R. (Leonard) Mallery; for children:  Heather Beschler (Jonah), Amy Coombs (Tommy), David W. Mallery Jr. and companion, KareDeGol and Jessica Mallery and companion, Ryan Leventry; and eight grandchildren: Adrianah, Braylen, Adalynn, Harper, Brantley, Noah,Alex and Axel.  David enjoyed spending time with his wife, Melanie, and his four children.  H e adored his eight grandchildren.  He loved the outdoors and spent a lot of time in nature and in his garden.  David was always helping others and he touched many peoples lives.  He will b e deeply missed. A celebration of David’s life will be held at a later date.
