Mrs. Elizabeth G. “Libby” Hicks of Altoona, Pa, died at 7:30 AM, Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Altoona Center Nursing Care after an extended illness.

Mrs. Hicks was born in Hollidaysburg, Pa on July 23, 1928, daughter of the late Walter C. and Lelia E. (Boland) Keller. She married Percy F. Hicks June 6, 1948 St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Hollidaysburg.

She was a homemaker and retired in 1991 as a fruit picker at Mattern Orchard with 12 years service.

She was a member of Assembley of God Church.

Mrs. Hicks graduated from St. Michael’s Catholic School, Hollidaysburg, Hollidaysburg Junior High School and Senior High Class of 1948. She enjoyed interior decorating, flowers & plants, cooking, her Bible and her dog “Terra”.

She is survived by her husband and a sister Patricia M. (Keller) Whetstine, of Hollidaysburg, Pa; Libby is also survived by several nieces and nephews and was preceded in death by a daughter Deanna C. Hicks a sister Ethel A. McGee and 5 bothers John P. Keller, Bernard B. Keller, Harry J. Keller, George T. “Jiggs” Keller and Eugene P. Keller.

A Funeral Service will be held at the conveince of the family at Jones Funeral Home, Altoona, Pa with Reverend Peggy J. Bonsell celebrating.

Committal Rites will be held at Calvary Cemetery Altoona, Pa.

At the family’s request there will be no public visitation.
