Eric T. “Brownie” Brown, 57, Altoona, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at his home after an extended illness. Born November 5, 1966, Altoona, son of the late N. Louise and Arthur Brown, Sr. Survived by sisters, Laurette, Melinda and Pammy; brother, Doug and wife, Debbie; multiple nieces and nephews; and companion, Karen. Preceded in death by sisters, Colly and Cheryl; and brother, Buddy. Brownie was a 1984 graduate of Altoona High School where he played varsity football. He began working at his family-owned restaurant, Brownies until their closure. Brownie then worked at Pellegrines and then retired from the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home. He was an avid Steelers fan, loved music, and was a proud uncle who loved spending time with his family. Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, March 16, 2024 from 3-6 p.m. at the Homers Gap Civics Association, 135 Preston Lane, Altoona, PA.
