Mr. George R. Weamer, 86 of Golden Living Center, Altoona, Pa died Saturday, December 5, 2015 at the Center after an extended illness.

Mr. Weamer was born in Altoona, Pa. on October 20,1929, son of the late James B. and Alice (Aikens) Weamer. He married Marjorie J. Wilkins in Cumberland, MD October 5, 1950. She died February 27, 2013.

He retired in 1989 as a Maintainence Supervisor at Veeder - Root Altoona with 43 years of service. He formerly worked at Neff Electric, Altoona.

He was a member of Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament Altoona, Pa.

George was a graduate of Altoona High School. He was a of Blair County Game, Fish anf Forestry Association, Inc. and Bellwood Beagle Club. He enjoyed taking his grandchildren on vacation, hunting, fishing, shooting trap and his hunting dogs.

He is survived by 2 daughters Kathleen D. Hunter and Judy A. (Mark) Luke both of Altoona, 2 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and a nice Jean Gelbke, of Duncansville, Pa.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, December 10, 2015 at Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, Altoona.

Committal Rites will be held at Calvary Cemetery Altoona, Pa.

Friends will be received Wednesday, December 9, 2015 from 5 - 8 PM at Jones Funeral Home where a Vigil For the Deceased will be held during the visitation.
