Mrs. Nycum was born in Houtzdale, Pa. on September 26, 1922, daughter of the late John M. and Helen J, (Bonner) Schultz. She married Thomas W. Nycum Jr. July 8,1953 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Altoona. He died March 16, 1993.

She was a Homemaker.

She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church Altoona.

Mrs. Nycum was a 1941 graduate of Altoona High School. She was a past member of Ladies Colunbian Circle, Catholic Daughters of America and Holy Rosary Ladies Guild.

She is survived by Daughter Barbara (Robert) Koehle of Altoona, Kathleen M. (John) Frederick, of Antis Township, Pa. and Nancy (David) Croft, of Altoona, Pa; 5 grandsons, Robert C. (wife Shawna) Koehle, Thomas J. (fiancee Heather Najduch) Koehle, Ryan A. (wife Lacey) Koehle, Jared Frederick and Mark Frederick, 2 great grandsons Gavin and Brayden Koehle and a bother Richard Schultz of West Patterson, NJ and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Nycum was preceded in death by 6 siblings Helen Marie Waite, Harriet E. Schultz, John M. Sxhultz, Robert N. Schultz, William Schultz and Giles Schultz.

Service will be private at the convience of the family with Msgr. Robert C. Mazur officiating.

Committal Rites will be held at Calvary Cemetery Altoona, Pa.
