Mrs. Helen Crist, 87, of Altona, Pa died, Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Select Specialty Hospital, Johnstown, Pa. after an extended illness.

Mrs. Crist was born in Canonsburg, Pa on March 30, 1929, daughter of the late Basil and Barbara (Mavrogeogakis - Tzavou) Coumoulis. She married Harry T. Crist, September 1, 1957 at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, Pittsburgh, Pa. He died January 22, 2008.

She was a Homemaker.

She was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church Altoona Pa.

Helen was a graduate of Schenley High School and the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. She was a member of the Bavarian Aid Society and a past member of the Heidelburg and Park Hills Country Clibs and Greek Ladies Philoptocos Society. She enjoed sewing, cooking Greek dishes and watching the Pirates and Steelers.

She is survived by 2 sons Adam A. (Kanistra) Crist, of Las Vegas, NV; and Bill J. (Sarah) Crist, of Altoona, Pa, Helen is also survived by a grandson Michael T. (Brittany) Crist of York, Pa. and a great grandson Gabriel Crist.

A Funeral Service will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Monday, June 27, 2016 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, Altoona Pa. with Fr. John Hutnyan officiating.

Interment will be at Alto Reste Park Cemetery Altoona, Pa.

Friends will be received from 4 - 7 PM, Sunday , June 26, 2016 at Jones Funeral Home where a Trisagion Service will be held at 6:00 PM.
