James R. Noel, 77, resident of Maple Winds, Portage, passed away Thursday, October 3, 2024. Born February 1, 1947, Johnstown, son of the late Regis J. and Betty L. (Dixon) Noel. Preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Williams. Survived by his sisters, Ellen Flickinger and Janet Noel, both of Altoona, and Sandra L. Pellas, Duncansville; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. James was a 1965 graduate of Bishop Carroll High School and a 1969 graduate of St. Francis University. He enjoyed bowling, going for walks, and talking to people along the way. Most importantly, he cherished spending time with his family. Friends and family will be received on Thursday, October 10, 2024, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. with a service at 8:00 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Home, Msgr. Stanley Carson celebrant.
