Janet L. Barr, 83, Altoona, passed away Monday, November 4, 2024 at the Haida Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Hastings. She was born on August 11, 1941, Altoona, daughter of the late John R. and Violet S. (Brooks) Colella. Janet was preceded in death by her husband, Walter J. Barr Sr.; son, Robert Barr; brothers, James Brooks, John Colella and David Colella; and sister, Nancy Colella. She is survived by four sons, Ramblen, Daniel, Michael, and Walter Barr Jr.; two daughters, Pamela Thompson and Susan Barr; nine grandchildren, Daniel, Bradley, Brett, Bobby Jr., Caleb, Hunter, Madison, Marcus, and Stephine; six great-grandchildren; and brother, Robert Colella. Janet enjoyed playing the lottery and bingo. Most importantly, she cherished spending time with family and friends. Friends and family will be received on Friday, November 8, 2024 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Alto Reste Park Cemetery, Altoona.
