Janet L. Quirin, 75, Altoona, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2025 at UPMC Altoona. Born June 5, 1949, Altoona, daughter of the late Elwood and Alma (Foust) Cornelius. Preceded in death by siblings, Stella, Mary, Donna, Bill and Russell; and her granddaughter, Ashley Anderson. Survived by her children, Joseph, Troy, Renee and Lenny Barr; 12 grandchildren, Toni, Richard, Ashley, Adriel, Tory, Rylee, Haley, Chelsea, Lenny Jr., Teaeeka, Robert and Brandon; 19 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Bobbie Patterson and Christine Simington; and longtime daughter-in-law, Tina Barr. Janet enjoyed playing Bingo and the PA Skill machines. She was affectionately known as “Mama” at the former Monkey Wharf, Altoona. Janet also enjoyed spending time with her friends at Wolfies, Altoona. At her request, there will be no viewing or services. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
