Mr. John M. Turchetta, 61, of Altoona, Pa, died peacefully at home at 11:10 AM, Sunday, December 15, 2019.

Mr. Turchetta was born in Altoona, Pa on August 24, 1958, son of the late John B. and Agnes (Mayemick) Turchetta. He married Sherry I. Reed November 1, 1980 at Wehnwood United Methodist Church, Altoona.

John was a Customer Service Representative at Subway Stamp Shop Altoona with 17 years of service.

He attended Wehnwood United Methodist Church Altoona.

John was a 1975 graduate of Bishop Guilfoyle high School. He enjoyed his family, dogs and detailing cars.

He is survived by his wife 2 sons Michael J. Turchetta, of Baltimore, MD; and Matthew J. (Tia) Turchetta, of Altoona; mother Agnes Turchetta, of Altoona, Pa; 2 sister Patricia “Patty” Turchetta and Pam Turchetta, both of Altoona; special cousin Anita Petrusky; special niece Jennifer Reed – Howard.

Services are private at the convenience of the family at Jones Funeral Home, Altoona, Pa with Pastor Evelyn Madison officiating.

At the family’s request visitation will be private.
