Mr. Lewis W. (William) White Sr., 73, Altoona, died Sunday at UPMC Altoona, after an extended illness. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Ralph Guy and Sarah A. (Dodson) White.

He retired in 1999 as a janitor at McDonald’s in Altoona, with two years of service. He enjoyed knitting.

Mr. White is survived by four sons: Lewis W. (Karen) White Jr., Gerald A. (Dorene) White and Joseph A. White, all of Altoona; and David R. (Vanessa) White of New Castle; a sister, Margaret McCreary of Altoona; a brother, Donald White of Johnstown; and five grandchildren.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. today, Feb. 18, 2021, at Jones Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. today, Feb. 18, 2021, at Jones Funeral Home, Altoona, with Chaplin Barbara Rossi officiating.

Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
