Lorie C. Bowers, age 59, of Altoona, died Saturday afternoon 09/18/2021 at UPMC Altoona.  She was born in Altoona, a daughter of Clair and Eloise (Forsythe) Forney.  She married her loving husband Jeffrey L. Bowers 06/14/1994 in Stonewall, Mississippi.  Surviving are her husband, mother, a son, Richard “Jame” Bowers; sisters:  Angela Forney, Vicky (Chet) Axon, Susan Forney, Kimberly Dodson and Mary (Mark) Chamberlain; several nieces and nephews.  Lorie is also survived her pugs, Mugsy and Syd.  She was preceded in death by her father and a sister, Sandra Forney,  Lorie was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family.  A memorial will be held at the convenience of the family.  A special thanks to the nursing staff in surgical ICU for their care of Lorie.
