Marjorie J. "Marge" (Nagle) Smith, 98, of IDA Tower, Altoona, died Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at her residence after an extended illness.

Mrs. Smith was born in Altoona on May 6, 1918, daughter of the late Robert Wesley and Anna Bitner (Bankert) Hanna. She was first married to Clement A. Nagle who died October 8, 1966. She then married Raymond P. Smith at St. Therese of the Child Jesus Catholic Church, August 19, 1967. He died June 5, 1999.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, Altoona.

"Marge" enjoyed Rocky Gap Casino, playing cards and bingo.

She is survived by two daughters Barbara Ann (husband Dan) Dellape and Lois Jean (husband Robert) Kelley both of Altoona; six step-children Kathleen F. (husband Bob) Nave of Melbourne, FL; Diane M. Simkins of Sharon, Pa; Suzannc C. (husband Bob) Mills and John P. "Jack" (wife Michele) Smith both of Fredricksburg, VA; Michael R. (wife Cindy) Smith of Melbourne, FL; and Kevin X. (wife Gladys) Smith of Brunswick, GA; and numerous grand, great grand and great great grandchildren. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by four siblings, Robert Hanna, Betty Gilbride, Ann Chirdon and Harry Hanna.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 30, 2016 at Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, Altoona with Fr. Matthew Baum and Msgr. Robert C. Mazur, con-celebrating.

Committal rites will be held at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona.

Friends will be received from 4 - 7 p.m. Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Jones Funeral Home where a vigil for the deceased will be held during the visitation.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in "Marge's" name to American Cancer Society, 1004 North Juniata Street, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648.
