Mary Teresa McGough, 89, of Garvey Manor, Hollidaysburg, formerly of 322 Bell Ave. Altoona, died at 12:50 AM, Sunday, July 10, 2016 at Garvey Manor Nursing Home.

Mrs. McGough was born in Altoona, Pa. on June 10, 1927, daughter of the late Miles V. and Alice J. (Smith) Brady. She married John V. McGough October 14, 1950 at St. Mark's Catholic Church, Altoona. He died May 31, 2014.

She was a Legal Secretary and Notary Public for Abraham Colbus and her son, James V. McGough, for more then 50 years.

She was a member of St. Mark's Catholic Church, Altoona, Pa.

Mary Teresa was a 1945 graduate of Altoona Catholic High School. She was a past member of St. Mark's Christian Mothers and was an original season ticket for the Altoona Curve Baseball Team which she enjoyed following, She also enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren's sports, baseball dancing and her granddaughter Meagan's International Irish Dance Competitions and the founder and owner of the McGough Academy School of Irish Dance.

She is survived by 2 sons, James V. (Sandra) McGough of Hollidaysburg, Pa and John W. (Barbara) McGough, of Downingtown, Pa. Mary Teresa is also survived by 6 grandchildren James R. (Angela) Thomas J. (Kristen) Andrew P. Meagan (Fiance Carlos Marrero - Parts) Sean and Kevin, 4 great grand children Kaitlyn, Tyler, E.J. and Karley, and a sister Marjorie Turnbaugh of Altoona, Pa. Teresa was preceded in death by a bother, Vincent Brady.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at St. Mark's Catholic, Church, Altoona with Fr. David Roesch officiating.

Committal Rites will be held at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona, Pa.

Friends will be received Tuesday, July 12, 2016 from 5 - 8 PM at Jones Funeral Home where a Vigil For the Deceased will be held at 4:30 PM.
