Mona J. Harren, 62, of Altoona, Pennsylvania, passed away on August 29, 2026. She was born on September 28, 1963. Mona was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Mona is survived by her loving husband, John W. Harren (Bill); stepdaughters, Jennifer L. Weaver (Corey) and Tricia Gilliland (Christopher); stepson, Shawn B. Harren; grandchildren, Joshua R. Keene, Lacey L. Weaver, Brookelynn P. Weaver, and Flynn Gilliland; sister, Debra Deters (Bob); brothers, Mike L. Shearer and Douglas A. Shearer (Cammy); sister-in-law, Tanya Shearer; and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Eric W. Keene; her mother, Eleanor F. McCaulley Shearer; her father, George S. Shearer; her sister, Gladys R. McConnell; and her brothers, Gary Mills and George S. Shearer. Mona’s life was a gift to those who knew her. Although she is no longer with us, her love will continue to live on through her husband, children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished. A Celebration of Life for Mona will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Greenwood Fire Department, where family and friends are invited to come together to celebrate her life, share memories, and honor the woman she was.
