Burnett, Peter W., 71, of Altoona, formerly of Boalsburg, passed away on Monday, September 7, 2024 at UPMC, Altoona. Born December 17, 1952, son of the late Wayne and Tig (Bennett) Burnett. Survived by his sister, Jethryn (John) Burnett Ott of Reading; and brother, Paul (Jan) Burnett of Portland, OR. Peter served three years in the United States Navy, was a Penn State graduate of Music Education, and assisted in gardening at the Hillside Gardens Nursery. He loved playing the piano, reading, and caring for his beloved cats. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 11:00 AM, at Grace United Methodist Church, 127 S. Pennsylvania Ave, Centre Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Centre County Paws, 1401 Trout Road, State College, PA 16801.
