Peter Edward “Pete” Lynam 58, of 1511- 13 ^th St. Altoona, Pa, died Thursday, January 24, 2019 at his residence.

Mr. Lynam was born in Altoona, Pa on December 27, 1960, son of the late Thomas C. and Muriel F. (Finnerty) Lynam.

He was a member of Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament Altoona, Pa.

Pete was a 1979 graduate of Bishop Guilfoyle High School. His was a difficult path but he demonstrated generosity when he had nothing himself good humor despite his own struggles and great love for his family and friends.

He is survived by 5 siblings Patricia May Beach, of Altoona, Pa; Michael James (Linda) Lynam, of Altoona, Pa; David A. (Becky) Lynam, of Dauphin, Pa; Daniel J. (Charlene) Lynam, of North Myrtle Beach, SC; and Mark W. (Michelle) Lynam, of Altoona, Pa. Pete was preceded in death by 2 bothers Timothy and Christopher Lynam and a niece Brittany Lynam and a nephew Gregory James Lynam.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday 5, 2019 at Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, Altoona, Pa with Msgr. Robert C. Mazur celebrant.

Committal Rites will be held at Calvary Cemetery Altoona, Pa.

Friends will be received from 5-8 PM Monday, February 4, 2019 at Jones Funeral Home where a Vigil for the Deceased will be celebrated during the visitation.
