Mr. Richard E. Horne, age 68, of Altoona, Pa, died at 11:55 PM, Monday, November 26, 2018 at his residence, after an extended illness.

Mr. Horne was born in Altoona, Pa on April, 1950, son of the late Earl Joseph and Rose (Karbonchyk) Horne.

He retired in 2012 as a machinist at Schwartzen-Bach Huber Manufacturing Co Altoona, Pa with 25 years of service.

He was of the Catholic Faith.

Rick was a 1969 graduate of Altoona Area High School.

He served in the U.S. Army as a Pvt. 1c.

He is survived by 3 children David Horne, of Williamsport, Pa; Jennifer Horne, of Mifflinburg, Pa; and Christine Horne, of New Columbia, Pa; 3 siblings Stephen J. (wife Linda) Horne, of Altoona, Pa; Catherine Irene Reeseman, of Altoona, Pa; and Mary E. (husband Jess) Jones, of Warriors Mark, Pa. He is also survived by 8 and 2 great grandchildren.

There will be no service.

At the family’s request there will be no visitation.
