Ronald Lee Clawson, 83, of Roaring Spring, died Wednesday at his residence. He was born in Williamsburg, son of the late William and Martha L. (Shade) Clawson.

He retired in 1993 as a route driver at Holsum Bakery, Altoona, with 25 years of service.

Ron attended Williamsburg High School and received his GED in the Army. He enjoyed going gambling and to horse races with his friend, Ron Baronner “RB.”

He served in the U.S. Army as a Specialist 4th Class.

Ron is survived by two children, Brenda L. (Doug) Weyant of Williamsburg and Ronald Lee (Diane) Clawson, Altoona. He is also survived by six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by five siblings: Dot Price, Mary Barnes and Richard, Robert and James Clawson.

At the family’s request, there will be no visitation or services.

A private family interment will be at Grandview Cemetery, Altoona, on Saturday, April 30, 2022.
