Ruby Virginia McConnell, age 82 of Mill Run, Altoona, died Saturday evening July 17, 2021 at home after a extended illness.  She was born October 27, 1938 in Cabins, WV., a daughter of the late George W. and Nina Mae (Dolly) Dolly.  She married John M. McConnell who passed away September 12, 2014.  Surviving are daughters:  Connie Hufford and Sharon McConnell, both of Altoona; a son, Larry McConnell of Altoona; sisters:  Betty Dove, Joy Davy, Katherine Dent and Ruthlene (Ted) Funkhauser; brothers:  Ralph Dolly and George (Francis) Dolly; 6 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.Ruby was preceded in death by a daughter, Caroline McConnell; 4 sisters and 3 brothers.  Ruby was a member of Mill Run Mennonite Church.  She retired as a seamstress from Warnaco after 15 years of service.  Ruby enjoyed family, canning and camping.  Friends received from 2-4 & 6-8:00 p.m. Tuesday July 20th at Cornerstone Fellowship of Mill Run Church, where a funeral service will held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday July 21st, by John Clapper.  Internment in Blair Memorial Park.
