Shirley Ann Shannon

Shirley Ann Shannon,90, of Altoona, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday August 11, 2025, following an extended illness. She was born on April 20, 1935, in Frostburg Maryland, daughter of the late George and Anna (Richardson) Petenbrink. She married Jerome H. Shannon who preceded her in death. Surviving are her six children; Kathleen, Gregory, Jeffrey, Brenda, Patrick, and Mark, 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 3 great- great grandchildren, 3 brothers; Ronald, Paul, and William, 2 sisters; Sondra and Emma. She was preceded in death by two sons: Douglas and Brian, and by two brothers, George Jr. “Bob” and James “Jim”. Shirley was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Altoona. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and will be sadly missed by everyone who knew and loved her. Family and friends will be received on Friday August 15, 2025, from 10a.m. until the Noon funeral service at the funeral home. Father Michael Pleva, officiant.
