Sonya Marie Snowberger, 48, Altoona, died Sunday at her residence.

She was born in Altoona, daughter of Ronald E. and Lucinda M. “Cindy” (Deyarmin) Snowberger.

Surviving are a son, Christopher L. and his wife, Blanca White, of Charlotte, N.C.; two grandsons: Patrick and Jose; a soon to be granddaughter, Lyla Marie; her parents; two siblings: Laura Carter and Ronald Snowberger, both of Carlisle; a niece Miranda Snowberger and a nephew, Ronnie Snowberger both of Carlisle; several aunts and uncles; and her beloved dog, Fiona.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Ray and Jean Deyarmin; and an uncle, Dennis Deyarmin.

Sonya was a 1987 graduate of Altoona Area High School, and she received her bachelors’ degree in business administration from Penn State University in 2003. She retired from Forever Broadcasting, Altoona, as a sales representative, and she was of the Protestant faith.

Friends will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 26, 2018, at Jones Funeral Home, Altoona, where a funeral service will be held at 7 p.m., the Rev. Ardean Latchford officiating.
