Theodore C. Clapper, 92, of Altoona, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2026 at UPMC Altoona. He was born April 30, 1934 in Altoona, son of the late Johnathan A. and Alice R. (Grove) Clapper. He married Norma Daugherty who preceded him in death. Surviving are his two children, Deborah Miller (George) and Theodore Clapper (Jamie), all of Altoona; four grandchildren: Heather Baron, Allan Miller, Alec and Wade Clapper; two great-grandchildren, Chase Musser and Brooke Miller; a brother, Chester Clapper; and several nieces and nephews. Theodore was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Lisa; and by several brothers and sisters. He was a U.S. Army veteran and enjoyed cars and sports. Friends and family will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, October 15, 2026, at Rose Hill Funeral & Cremation Care Inc., 118 Rosehill Cemetery Dr., Altoona. A funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, October 16, 2026, at the funeral home with Pastor Luke Miller, officiant. Interment will follow in St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery, Ashville.
