William A. "Bill" Crouse, 77, of Altoona, died at 1:26 AM, Sunday, January 17, 2016 at his Home, after a brief illness of cancer.

Bill was born in Altoona, Pa on June 2, 1938, son of the late George R. "Bucky" and Ethel M. (Rice) Crouse. He married Susan K. Anthony May 13, 1961 at Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrement.

He retied in 1994 as a lineman at Penelec, Altoona, Pa with 35 years of service. He was also a Greeter at Altoona Greater Career and Technology Center.

He was a member of Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament Altoona, Pa.

Bill was a 1956 graduate of Altoona High School. He was a member of Brush Mountain Sportsman Club, St. Stanislaus Kostka Brotherhood, Swis Club, Bavarian Aid Society and Cesare Battisti Mutual Benefit Association. He enjoyed fishing at Brush Mountain Sportsman Association with his children and grand children, Februarys in Florida with his wife, Sue, Penn State and Pittsburgh Steelers football, walking, golfing, bowling and grass mowing at Brush Mountain Sportsman Association. He was a volunteer at St. Vincent DePaul Soup Kitchen. Bill made the world a brighter place just by being in it. He ws so kind to everyone and he always had something pleasant to say. He loved to laugh and his smile could light up a room. He was loved and respected by family and friends.

He served in the U.S. M arine Corps as a Lance CPL.

Surviving are his wife and 4 daughters Susan C. (Kevin) Radford, of Alpharetta, GA; Kelly A. (Tom) Glass, of State College, Pa; Karen A. (Wally) Reimer, of Altoona, Pa; and Kathy C. (Mike) Hammer, of Bethel Park, Pa; a sister Sr. Ann Crouse RSM, of St. Louis, MO. Bill also survived by 7 grandchildren Samantha (Ben) Faler, Sara and Shelby Reimer, Scott and Jaime Glass. Halle and Casey Hammer, 2 great grandchildren Ava and Grayson Faler.

A funeral Mass will be held at Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, Altoona, Pa at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, January 20,2016 with Msgr. Robert C. Mazur officiating.

Committal Rites will be held at Calcary Cemetery Altoona, Pa.

Friends will be received Tuesday, January19, 2016 from 3 - 8 PM at Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament Cathedral Square, Altoona where a Vigil For the Deceased will be held during the visitation.
